Kawasaki KLR 650. I bought this bike in 2014 for a trip from Portland, Oregon through various parts of Canada with a riding group. Did that trip, rode around Portland for about a year, and mostly parked her under cover since then. Note the tags expired in 2018, and I rode it rarely after that. The bike has never been crashed or laid down.I added mounts and hardware for Moose Racing hard shell waterproof and removable luggage on both sides (see photos), a Wolfman tank bag, high quality dual sport tires from Continental, a Rekluse centrifugal clutch (a must have for a dual sport), a much better quality Madstad adjustable windshield. I also added the crash bars (visible in the photographs), a quality aluminum skid plate under the engine, immediately after purchase upgraded / replaced the problematic factory "doo-hickey" / torsion spring that can fracture and cause a problem for KLRs. I also installed the "Thermo-Bob" cooling system upgrade that causes the bike to run a far more consistent temperature than the factory design. The handlebars were modified by adding Maier hand guards with aluminum frames, and I added bar-end vibration dampeners that reduce vibration and fatigue.
The front tire and rim was modified to run tubeless with the "TuBliss" dual air chamber system that eliminates rim-pinch and other issues. This bike runs perfectly (although you will want to adjust the Rekluse clutch to your preference - instructions on their website, and it's easy to do) and is ready to ride with or without bags and waterproof luggage. This bike has about ,000 in upgrades and is what Kawasaki should have offered if they wanted to offer a bulletproof dual sport / touring bike. I am happy to answer questions, send additional photos, or email / dropbox photos and videos of the bike running and being ridden. You will not be disappointed.
