This is a
pack of nine
metric M8x1.25
top lock flange nuts
for exhaust manifold / flange applications. The nut
hex size is 12mm
(requires a 12mm wrench or socket).  The nuts feature a self-locking design, so when they are fastened to a stud by hand, they will stop when they reach the "locking" portion.  You will then need a 12mm wrench or socket to fasten it further, at which point it will "lock" in place.  Self-locking nuts are especially useful for exhaust systems, where vibrations could cause regular, non-locking nuts to gradually loosen and come off.  These nuts are premium quality, high strength (grade 8) and temperature resistant for exhaust system applications, including the exhaust manifold and exhaust flange pipe.

M8x1.25 is a popular size for many Asian vehicles, such as Honda, Nissan, Isuzu, Subaru, etc.  If you are uncertain what size you need, please ask us before you purchase.  If you need a larger size, i.e., 10mm, we have 10mm locknuts available as well.  Please browse or search our eBay store to view our other nut listings. You can usually determine what size you need by checking the hex size of your original nut.  If a 12mm or 13mm socket / wrench fits the nut, most likely you have 8mm nuts.  If the nut requires a 14mm socket/wrench,
then likely you have 10mm nuts. It is important to verify the thread pitch as well.  Some vehicles, such as Mazda and Volvo, may have a larger and coarser M10x1.5 thread pitch, in which case these M8x1.25 nuts will not work for those applications.
