Anchor Hocking Manhattan Candlestick Holders Set of 2 Circa 1938 Depression GlassAnchor Hocking produced the Manhattan pattern from 1938-1943
These 4 -1/2" square round bottom candleholders are in excellent condition. These were paired by the previous owner with a gorgeous large console bowl made by LE Smith Glass in 1930 pattern #38 which we also have in our store.
About a Console Bowl: This is a type of large glass
bowl
used to hold a centerpiece arrangement of flowers or fruit on a dining table or buffet.
They were especially popular from the 1920s through the 1940s,
and usually had matching candlesticks to place on either side of the
bowl
.
Condition is simply beautiful! These have managed to survive 9 decades unscathed! Hurray!
