Getzen Herald Trumpet

Description

Getzen Herald Trumpet. 300 Series. Serial number 78442.
Manufactured by the venerable American band instrument company, Getzen. Very well built; no signs of damage or repairs. Looks almost new with only very minor signs of use.
Sturdy case.
I don’t know what the ‘89’ on the case refers to.
Slides all work; corks look almost new. Valves are good.  Beautiful silver-colored finish.... I don't know if it is silver plated or nickel plated or possibly something else, but it is clearly the original finish of the horn.
Bell section has loops for hanging flags, banners.
I got this horn some years ago on eBay and haven’t found many opportunities to use it.
This is a beautiful, well-made horn that deserves a good home. Would look great on the wall of any serious trumpet player or band rehearsal room—especially with the school colors hanging from the loops.
Also, would be a dramatic prop in a musical play, like Camelot. Or as a featured instrument at a half-time show. Not to mention at your local racetrack.
