Olds Recording Trumpet Tri-Color Fullerton Model w/Case. Condition is "Used".
This is a nice example of an Olds Recording Trumpet.  Made in Fullerton, the serial number shows it being made around 1971-72.  It is the Tri-Color version with the Rose bell.  The lacquer is very good with only minor scratches and appears to be the original lacquer . The 3rd valve trigger works good and overall the trumpet has no dents that I can see.  It was completely gone through about a month ago at Meis music repair in Colorado, (check him out at Meis Music Repair on Facebook to see his work!) where the trumpet was completely gone thru, MINOR dents removed, chemically cleaned etc.  I believe the lacquer is original and is at about 90%,  The only minor flaw is when you turn the trumpet upside down you see a slight bend in the bell pipe leading to the first valve. It can be seen in the 5th pic.  It is slight, but I wanted to make you aware of it.  It was determined NOT to repair it as it is slight and would involve removing and reattaching several braces.  It also comes with its original case which is in very good condition for its age.  Latches both work (but no keys) and handles are both good.  Overall a fine example of a 50 year old horn.  INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS WELCOME as long as you are enrolled in Global Shipping.
