Vintage 1920's American EL Double Button Carbon Microphone with Stand

Offering a ring/spring mounted
super-rare Double Button Carbon Microphone,
circa
1920's, with antique cast iron desk stand
. This model was manufactured by the
American Microphone Company
in Pasadena California
.
(
They manufactured many different models for a wide range of applications, even some marketed and used for military communications. The was company shut down by the mid 1980's.)
This mic element is in
excellent condition
, very minimal signs of aging on the chromed casing, and mounted within a 6" ring apparatus suspended by 4 eye hook anchors and 8 springs. The ring sits atop the
gorgeously vintage heavy cast iron "3 tier design" desk stand
which is included
.
These carbon mics required an independent power supply to operate, so has not been tested...being sold for collectable or display. Measures 16" tall, ring and desk stand are both 6" in diameter.
