This horn is close to 100 years in age but it’s kicking great ! Perfect jazz horn !
This is precursor of Indianas, Imperials, Hancraft Imperials, Handcraft Committees and Committees .
This trumpet carries serial number range #72xxx and it’s been made in 1920s
Please know that all slides are NOT free but horn plays great and don’t want to force it .
Better to have playing horn than broken horn !
It appears that there was a bit soldering reinforcing done on 2nd slide ( see all photos )
Mouthpiece receiver goes slightly downwards not that visible and not affecting anything .
Noticed a ding on the bell bow. There is some tarnish areas and some wear in contact points
due to age but horn holds its own very well and plays with a very buttery tone.
Please know that this horn was completely washed inside and out home method with liquid soap
And silver was polished to the best of my abilities . The bell looks very effective , has nice engraving and
Still some Original gold wash present inside the flare.
Please note that valves pistons show some wear but those move smoothly and movement and / or compression are not affected. Even that I can’t take out slides and do compression test the way this horn performs shows no compressions issues as it’s plays easy and effortless through the whole range .
These small belled horns offer something unique and personal in sound experience the larger belled horns can’t . Don’t miss out this great vintage specimen.
Horn comes with original Martin mouthpiece it is either size 6 or 9 depends how you look at it. I played and tested this horn with my own mouthpiece. I’m including this mouthpiece for the horn to be compete but I recommend using different mouthpiece of your choice since the rim plating is not great anymore . Choice of the new owner. Case is original in still good shape not perfect but useable. I will secure horn well inside the case so it won’t move or shake.

PS there is a very slight scratched engraving of someone’s name on the bell pipe and some numbers ( see last photo ) it’s not very visible and not very sharp. It showed up out when I polished the horn as it was not visible before. It could be lightly buffed out by the brass tech but can be left like this not to cause thinning of the plating / brass on this vintage horn. It’s overall hard to notice as it’s very light already.
