and WORKING
1930's AMPERITE RAH Ribbon Microphone
built in New York City.
Amperite produced some of the most attractive and modernistic art-deco designs of its day, were quite popular for night-club, P.A. and broadcast/recording use. And
despite its bold machine-age exterior, was actually a fine ribbon microphone for the time, offering quality at a bargain price compared with the more expensive RCA's of its time.
Quite often these old Amperites are in rough shape so it's a pleasure to find one this nice. It's
100% complete
, internals are original, ribbon looks good, nice brass stand mount, and
tests with a clean signal and output
. Audiophiles often describe these early ribbons as "dark", that is a boomy low end with some roll-off on the highs...a good crooner mic.
Includes a short cable
with 3 pin XLR male connector,
plus the adjustable-height Atlas desk stand
. Would be a welcomed addition to any vintage microphone collection.
Overall height is 16-21". **
Always safe packaging and fast fair shipping.
