Vintage 1940's American RC crystal microphone old used antique w AG desk stand

Hello and welcome to The House of Chrome.
You are looking at a unique and rare 1940's era American RC crystal microphone made in Los Angeles, California. This particular model has no identification in the form of a badge as they came this way but in pic # 2 you can clearly see the make and model.
This mic was originally intended for home recording and broadcasting purposes.
The microphone has been tested but no longer works as the crystal element is dead. One can always replace this element for something that works of course. Overall a decent example of an early American RC model microphone. The body shows several chips in the original paint but it's free of any dents or engravings. The front chrome grill looks quite nice with typical small wear and the black cloth screen is dark and free of any rips or holes. Mic has all original screws and components. I would give it a solid 5 + on a scale of 1 - 10.
This RC mic comes with the original cloth covered cable. The cable is soft, pliable and 8 inches long. Shortened for cosmetic and display purposes but comes with original chunky 1/4 inch end connector.

The stand is an AG model desk stand that was sold with the mic and was a common stand used on many American brand microphones at that time though very hard to come across these days. The all metal stand with chrome finish is detachable. it shows heavy wear in the form of pitting. The dimensions of this stand are 5 1/2 inches tall X 3 3/4 inches wide. It still has the original rubber gasket on the bottom used as a barrier between the metal stand and any surface you might rest it on.
This would make a cool display piece anywhere in the home, office or studio.
