    Description

Offering a beautifully restored and functioning vintage
1940's ELECTRO VOICE V2 RIBBON MICROPHONE
    with connecting cable. (
The V2 and V3 are the larger in the V series.) This mic is in nice
    physical condition
with working on-off switch and clean upper wire mesh section. The support yoke has the original 2 side thumbscrews to hold the tilt angle. The original EV ribbon motors just didn't hold up too well over the years, so
we have installed a new superior ribbon motor
with strong neodymium magnet and Geistnote transformer delivering rich tones and strong output. (See final photo.)
    INCLUDES
a 3 foot Amphenol connecting cable
terminating with a 3 pin male XLR plug. The mic itself is about 8" tall.
    DESK STAND IS NOT INCLUDED.

The Electro Voice Company harkens back to the 1930's when they developed P.A. systems for churches and political rallies. The company began as "Electric Voice" and soon switched to "Electro Voice". Their mics played a major part in capturing sound and communications during WW2, and decades later furnished the comms mics for NASA's space program.
