    Description

    This vintage ASR semi-automatic table lighter is in good condition.
    This style is known as Pagoda for its shape,  and its material red  bakelite.
    Its measures are 2 3/4" height by 2" long and 1 1/4" wide approximately.
    LIGHTER IS MARKED A.S.R. CORP. 815 JAY ST. BROOKLYN N.Y. PAT D-146973-MADE IN USA
    The lighter works with fluid and it might show some wear.
    The American Safety Razor Company (ASR) was founded in 1906 by the merger of two earlier razor-related companies. Originally based in Brooklyn, the company is best known for its shaving-related products and only produced lighters for about ten years. The earliest patent date for the semi-automatic mechanism design used for all ASR lighters was applied for on December 19, 1945. The Brooklyn factory was forced to relocate on 1954; lighter production likely ceased at this point.
