Vintage Sanford Silverplate Concho Belt Navajo Southwest Link Belt 34"
Pre owned in great condition - tarnished
It is 34" long with 16 linked conchos.
Each measures 1.5" x 1.25".
The Sanford Co originated in Los Angeles and produced Native American-style jewelry for the popular tourist market along the Fred Harvey trading post lines which were all along the railroads and later along Route 66 serving tourists in the Southwest and American Servicemen. The pieces were made in workshops by artisans working with hand stamping and early primitive machines to make lightweight stylish jewelry for stores and catalogs.
